Description of Bellagio Baccarat

In 2024, Playtech Live announced an exciting new partnership with MGM Resorts International that allows the studio to bring a range of new live casino games to market, all of which are streamed live from the MGM Resort in Las Vegas. This includes Bellagio Baccarat, the iconic and popular card game where all you have to do is bet on who has the winning hand. If your online casino is offering Bellagio Baccarat in its live lobby, and you enjoy a fun, easy-to-learn live card game, then it’s well worth trying out.

What are the features of Bellagio Baccarat?

Playtech uses a standardised version of baccarat, so while there are variations between the different tables offered, the core game functions and rules are the same. Here are a few of the features you’ll see in Bellagio Baccarat.

Eight decks in play

As you may already know, baccarat is usually played in casinos with either six or eight-card decks. All of the Playtech live baccarat games use an eight-deck shoe, and it will get reshuffled when there are around two decks left in play.

Burning cards

As is common in casino card games, the top cards will be ‘burned’ to ensure fair play by removing them from the deck before play starts. The value of the top card in the deck will determine the number of cards burned in each round.

Betting options

In Bellagio Baccarat, you can place a wager on the usual baccarat bets, and there will also be side bets available, such as Banker and Player Pairs and Egalite (which covers specific tie bets, from a tie on zero all the way up to a tie on nine).

Is Bellagio Baccarat streamed live from Vegas?

Yes, Playtech Live released Bellagio Baccarat in June 2024, not long after partnering with MGM to use live streams direct from its Vegas resorts. So, you can enjoy the thrill of live baccarat with the added glitz and glamour of knowing that the action is being streamed directly from Las Vegas!

Playtech Live also have this to offer

Other games from Playtech Live include Cash Collect Roulette Live, a great live dealer roulette option with three extra RNG bonus rounds, and the game show-style Money Drop Live, complete with a giant money wheel with four Drop Zones, and the chance to bet either on the main Drop Game or the Card Clash game.

Similar games from different providers

Other live dealer games similar to this one include Exclusive Free Bet Blackjack from Evolution, and Exclusive Sports Blackjack 1 from Pragmatic Play Live. Blackjack and baccarat have a lot in common in that they’re both fairly fast-paced, fun card games that are really easy to play once you learn the basic rules.

Bellagio Baccarat FAQs

How to win in Bellagio Baccarat

The winning hand in Bellagio Baccarat is simply the one that is closest to nine. If the hand is over nine, then the first digit is dropped. So, let’s say that one hand is an eight and a 10. This adds up to 18, and the one is dropped for a hand value of eight. This is a great score in baccarat, but let’s say that the other hand is a four and a five. This adds up to exactly nine, so it’s the winning hand. And yes, this does mean that a hand can come out to zero if the value is, for example, 10 or 20.

In baccarat, you place a bet on either the Player or the Banker to get a winning hand, or you can, of course, choose to bet on a tie if you want. As we’ve already touched on, you can also place a side bet or two if this appeals to you, such as a bet that either hand will be a pair, or a bet that there will be a tie on a specific number.

Getting started with playing Bellagio Baccarat online is similar to getting started with any live game. You’ll need to make your account and fund it first. Then, simply log on, go to the Live Casino lobby, search for the game, and click on it. At busier times, you may have to wait for a seat at a table to open up. Once it does, you can jump in, place your first bet, and start playing.
