Description of Dead Man's Gold

The ninth instalment in the ever-growing Gold series, ELK Studios’ Dead Man's Gold. Pick up multipliers, watch the reels expand, fire the cannons for extra wilds, grab free drops, and a whole lot more - not to mention this pirate-themed slot has a max win of 25,000x your bet, what’s not to love?

What are the bonus features of Dead Man's Gold?

Dead Man's Gold is a feature-heavy slot game with a bunch of ways to improve a win or create a new one:

Expanding Reels

Dead Man's Gold has a cascading reels feature that sees winning combinations disappear from the reels to be replaced by those above them. This gives the chance to get further wins, and if that happens, the process will repeat. With Dead Man's Gold, this feature can also see the reels increase in size with every cascade up to a maximum of eight rows high.

Treasure Targets

Targets can land on the reels during the base game and the free drops feature. When this symbol lands, it is shot by one of the two cannons on screen, this results in the target exploding and taking non-winning symbols adjacent to it out too, all those reel positions are then filled with wild symbols.

If two targets appear at the same time, they are shot by both cannons, wilds appear, and the multiplier on any wins is raised by one.

Free Drops

Land three, four, five, or six scatter symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger 10, 15, 20, or 25 free drops, respectively. During this feature, treasure targets will land on every non-winning spin. Another symbol that is consistent in this feature is the bottomless chest. When this lands, it will rise up the reels to the highest possible size, leaving new symbols in its wake and expanding the reel set to the current maximum. Three or more scatters landing during the free spins feature will trigger another 10 or more spins.

The ninth slot in ELK’s always impressive Gold series, Dead Man's Gold may be the best-looking slot of the lot, and that’s a high bar. This pirate-themed slot has exceptional design work and meticulous attention to every minute detail to ensure the game looks absolutely spectacular. The artwork is stunning, especially when the free spins triggers and you’re transported into an eerie, but beautifully designed cave. Add an epic soundtrack that gains an extra sense of mystery during the bonus feature, and this is a slot that does everything right from a design perspective.
